handmade & hand painted in the Burnished
pottery tradition called
bruñido

Antonio de Jesús Díaz Medrano
.  Antonio is a young artist from
Tonalá in Jalisco
Mexico, he comes from a long line of ceramic artists.
It measures 4 1/2 inches tall by 7 3/4 inches Long & 3 inches Wide.
"He comes from a family of artisans, where he grew up with a taste for preserving family traditions, and like every Tonalteca child the trade, he learned from his parents; María Refugio Medrano Lumus and Roberto Díaz Jarero. Today Antonio represents the 5th generation of artisans, which he represents with great pride…..
His family has been dedicated to the craft for generations. "I was born and grew up in mud," says Antonio, who at 25 years of age has earned recognition for the artistic quality of his pieces."
