Description

Beautiful set of Mexican pottery for your home or office.  This set of five birds features the super fine clay and hand work from the Tonala, Jalisco region of Mexico, and are done in the "Flor de Tonala" style of using the traditional floral motif.  This set consists of a very large Pheasant (see last photo for reference, with hand for scale), a large dove, two small quail and a tiny finch.  They are marked Tonala Mexico with an S mark.  This fine set is in excellent condition with not one single chip, there is however a manufacture crack in the clay which happened during firing which is on the underside of the tail of the pheasant (it is not considered a flaw, and does not effect it's structural integrity, see photo).  The Pheasant measures aprox. 15" long and 9" tall, 6" wide,  the Dove measures 9" long, 8" tall, and 5" wide, the two quail measure 6" long, 5" tall and 3" wide, and the small finch is 3" long, 2" tall and 1.5" wide.
