    This is a superb wooden box with its wonderful relief carvings including tigers, flowers and leaves of which:
    During our research we have been informed it cer
    tainly dates from the early 19th century.
    Dates about c1810s.
    of an english origin.
    Would have been carved by a french prisoner of war, captured by the english.

    seated tigers to the lid with a tree.
    a tree to the front with a flower and leaves to one side and other.
    A lock to the front, no key.
    Underneath a drawing which is burnt into the base.
    It has an overall height of about 5.75inches.
