    Description

    Sampson Smith Old Royal Bone China Cup & Saucer Set Pink & Yellow Floral Vines
    For consideration is this vintage cup and saucer set made by Sampson Smith Old Royal Bone China in England and manufactured between 1945 and 1963. The pattern is pink and yellow flowers on a brown vine with lime green leaves on a white background and gold accents.
    The cup measures 2¾ inches tall, the mouth measures 3 inches in diameter and the base measures 1¾ inches in diameter. The rim, foot and handle are accented with gold trim and the cup base is marked. There is a hand painted in gold number which may be a pattern number but I’m unable to verify its meaning. The saucer measures 5½ inches in diameter and the rim is accented with gold trim. The saucer base is marked.
    Both pieces are in excellent vintage condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, repairs, scratches, discoloration or crazing noted. Buyer will receive FREE shipping. Thank you for looking!

    Sampson Smith were manufacturers of earthenware and china at Longton, England circa 1846-1963. China production started in the 20th century and they became Sampson Smith Ltd. circa 1918. The hallmark on this set was used between 1945 and 1963 and the description "BONE CHINA” was introduced to the hallmark in 1945.
