Description
Hi! PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY AND IN ITS ENTIRETY! First things first. I NEVER discount any of my Buy It Now listings. The price is the price. You either want it or you don't. ALL my prices are fair. They HAVE to be. This is NOT my hobby. THIS IS HOW I TRY TO EARN A LIVING. For 35 years, including the last 22 years on eBay. That means I have to sell items in a timely manner. (And when you get to my age, time is NOT your friend.) Fortunately, I have been able to do so. On the rare occasions when I don't, I will hear my wife say something like this: "Hey, Jerry, when are you going to make a deposit at the bank?" If she is particularly stressed, she might not use the word "Jerry." She might use another word. A bad one. I own more than 120 photos of The Beatles, the most influential music group of the 20th century. This is one of my 10 favorites, even though it just features, John, the creative genius of the group. What makes this piece extra special though is not the photo of John behind the sunglasses. It is the copy of the signed check, which was drawn on his account in 1969 at the District Bank Limited in London, England. Several years ago, I tried to buy the original of this check. I made what I thought was a reasonable offer. It was declined. So I purchased a few copies of the check. THIS IS MY LAST ONE. Beautifully framed by my favorite wholesale framer, this is a very nice memento of Lennon, who tragically was murdered at the age of 40. It is amazing how young he was when he died. Many times I asked people how old they thought John was when he died and most often people guess 45 or even 50. So sad. He was cheated out of half his life--or more. His work lives on, though, and will endure. If you appreciate John Lennon, the creative genius behind The Beatles, you will treasure this piece. Covered in sturdy plexiglass so it will not be damaged unless USPS drops it from the plane at 32,000 feet. Not gonna happen! I have never had a plexiglass framed piece damaged and I have shipped to more than 25 countries over the past 22 years. The price is 8. Not a penny more. Not a penny less. The rules: 1) No discount. 2) Please add .40 for insured shipping in the continental U.S. I also ship worldwide through Ebay's Global Shipping Program. Ebay charges a fee for this service, so see Ebay for details. 3) Payment is due within three days of purchase. Paypal preferred but other forms of payment are fine, too. 4) If you have a question, please ask. 5) I am proud of my feedback on Ebay, encompassing more than 7,000 separate transactions over the past 22 years. 6) Please see my other listings, including my favorite Beatles photo of all time--a beautiful portrait of the Fab Four taken in New York City in 1964. 7) Thanks for reading this far. Stay safe. Jerry
