    Description

    Nice, beautiful silver plated LB Selmer  Concept TTM.  This is similar to the TT (Twin Tube) model, only this one has some sort of alloy (nickel?) lead pipe material, which supposedly makes it articulate/slot more cleanly.  Not sure about that but it is a BEAST of a horn.  Not quite as open blow as a Wild Thing, but it's got plenty of power with nice core, beautiful warm Selmer sound and it resonates like CRAZY.  There are a few small dings, perhaps scratches; but this is a pro horn and has been extensively used.  Selmer stopped making trumpets years ago so a "new" one is not possible!
    Silver plating is near 100% and the horn is clean, straight and has no signs of major trauma I can see.  Slides work as intended and are velvety smooth.  Valves show some wear but have good compression and are crazy fast and smooth.  Apparently a PVP was performed on it prior, but I have no documentation.  But as well as it plays, I believe it did.  When I got it I noticed either calcification or some corrosion in the lead pipe.  It played so well that I instantly fell in love and have never thought about it since.  There is absolutely NO external sign of bubbling on the pipe itself but I did just notice a pimple or two on the bend of the tuning slide.  I would go ahead and play it for another 25 years and regularly clean it as I have since I got it!
