s is a pair of Staffordshire seated white spaniel dogs with the wonderful facial decoration and overall portrayals of which:
During our research we have been informed they cer
tainly date from the mid 19th century.
Date about c1860s.
Staffordshire, England origin.
A wonderful portrayal of the pair of the seated spaniel dogs with:
each having the w
hite colouring & decoration with the wonderful facial detailing.
a left and a right.
pottery.
Portrayed with the embossed collar, locket & chains.
Each has an overall height of about 10inches.
Max base sizes of about 6 x 3.75in
ches.
Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is:
one is excellent with no major blemishes.
other is
subject to:
early repairs and restoration to the rear and sides of which, with today's modern & advanced restoration techniques can certainly be improved.
a small glaze chip underneath to the base edge.
Due to age: very minor areas of rubbing with overall fine crazing.
