The cover of Thriller features Jackson in a white suit that actually wasn't his. It belonged to the photographer Dick Zimmerman.
Thriller, the album, was released on November 30, 1982. It is 30x Platinum and remains the best-selling album of all time, having sold more than 66 million copies worldwide.  After Jackson's death in 2009, the album set additional records. The video for Thriller came out for 2 years after the album debuted, Dec. 1983.
