Mexican Pottery Antique Miniature Pitcher Hand Made Hand Painted Cactus in Bloom_______________________________________________
Condition:
This has been around our family for a long time, probably from the 1930s or 1940s, was in our family cabin, not fire glazed, but has thin shiny coat probably to protect the hand painting. Some of the hand painting is flaking off (everything that is worn, or flaking is visible in my photographs) It is only 2 3/4 x x 2 1/2 x 3 inches. Weighs 4.8 ounces. YOU can literally FEEL the indentation of the potter's finger as they formed the spout. I'm an anthropologist and that was special to me... like you can imagine the potter making it. The scene is cactus in bloom. The bottom has the number 72 or T Z which is the price or marking it as from a particular seller where goods from many sellers were displayed OR that it was a museum piece that was decommissioned. It belonged to my grandmother and I don't know where she got it.
Look at the pictures they are part of the description, and, write me with any questions prior to bidding.
All photos are mine, if it is a stock photo, it is marked "stock photo."
Colors are described as accurately as possible --
please remember not all monitors show colors the same
, so what color I see on my monitor may not be the same as yours. One person's "mauve" may be another person's "purple." :)
SHIPPING:
AlleyJcat is a small 2-family member company and we can’t always offer free shipping, however, with the increasing rates,
we find anything over 3 pounds seems to be cheaper with FedEx and that is an option we list.
We are located in COLORADO (ZONE 5 USPS) so within a few hundred miles of the middle of the continental United States, that helps those on the coasts and the south with lower zone rates.
WE NEVER charge a HANDLING FEE!
WE PAY INSURANCE.
If you choose FED EX or USPS, you are getting our FED EX or USPS discount, you don't see that amount, you only see your cost AFTER discount is applied.
If you like the item, and are not immediately purchasing or making an offer/bid -- consider putting it on your "watch" list as the search engines don't always bring up the items in the order you first saw them when you search later -- or "like" my store -- it is easy to "unwatch or "unlike" but this will save this item's listing for you and will remind you when listing is about to expire.
