Dominique Boschero (Collection of 4 original glamour photographs, circa 1956)
Publication:
France: Self published, Circa 1956
Description:
Four original glamour photographs of French-Italian actress Dominique Boschero, circa 1956-1960, in the early years of Sam Levin's career as portrait photographer, and Boschero's first films. Rubber-stamped on the versos, crediting notable Ukrainian photographer Sam Levin, with contact information for Boschero in holograph ink, also on the versos.
Boschero was a French actress with sultry allure and over 60 films to her credit, her debut in Ralph Habib's "Club of Women" (1956). Captivating portraits, a scant nylon garb, and a swimsuit image are present, including kitschy Mickey Mouse and duck props. Levin would produce effective results for a number of years, beginning with early work on Jean Renoir's "The Great Illusion" (1937).
Near Fine, with slight curling, and a little rust to the paperclip.
