    Description

Authentic Disneyland flyer dated March 1, 1979 announcing that the negotiating committees for Disneyland and the Craft Maintenance Council had mutually agreed to extend the current contract for 4 day, most likely to give a little more time for the union and management to work out a deal. My research indicates that Disneyland had a major strike in 1979 so maybe this was an indication of events leading up to the strike. (LA Times, Sept 17, 1992 says "Disneyland workers went on strike for 22 days--the park’s longest strike--in 1984. The only other major strike was in 1979, and it was over wages. Employees rejected Disney’s offer of wage increases of 15% over two years. But they reversed themselves just 15 days later, accepted the offer and returned to work.")
The Disneyland Treasures watermark, of course, is only on the photo, not on the actual news bulletin.
