Own a RARE, Retired Disney Collectible that will add to your collection and grow in value!
· Marti Gras comedy / tragedy masks are featured on the gift pin presented to Pleasure Island Cast Members in March of 1996 by Tony Peluso.
· The pin features yellow comedy/tragedy masks, center, with a starburst of green at the top and purple at the bottom behind it; "1996" straddles the masks.
· At top is "MARDI" in yellow and "GRAS" in purple.
· In script at the bottom left is "We did it again!"
· At the bottom in gold letters on black background is "PLEASURE ISLAND" surrounded by a green and purple border.
· The pin measures 1 1/2" (38 mm) wide by 1 1/8" (30 mm) tall. The backstamp is, "© DISNEY."
· It comes on a large white card with the old Pleasure Island logo in the upper left corner and the following note from Tony Peluso:
"Dear Pleasure Island Cast Member.
If you recall on February 17, we set an all-time attendance record of 12,777 guests due to your efforts on the Microsoft Buyout and opening night of our Mardi Gras celebration.
Please accept this special edition cast-only pin to commemorate that milestone and with my thanks for 'doing it again' by showing our guests that no one throws a party like Pleasure Island!"
