Camillus N.Y. MK-2 USMC Fighting Knife w Sheath & Stacked Leather Handle Vintage

Up for sale is a Camillus United States Marine Corps (USMC) Fighting Knife.  I believe this is the MK-2 Model used in WW2.  The Knife overall length is 12 Inches with a 7 Inch Clip point blade.  The blade Tang is Stamped, Camillus, N.Y. on one side and U.S.M.C. on the other side.  This has a stacked leather handle in pretty good condition with a steel guard and a steel pommel.  The Tang passes through the pommel and the pommel is pinned straight through the tang.  The knife comes with the original 9 pinned/rivetted leather sheath, with a brass button latch.  The knife and sheath are in a vintage used condition, still sharp.  There are a couple small burrs/nicks in the blade (Very Small) about the middle of the blade.  The blade has roughly 50% of its original bluing/finish remaining.  The sheath condition is only fair.  The ornate leather piece/decoration has snapped off.  The leather side etched "Big Jack" is quite dry and worn.  The other leather is still pretty good and flexible.  The are a lot of etching/markings on the sheath which was probably done during war time marked 1945-46 in a couple spots with a lot of names of people etched on the back.  Neat piece of WW2 history.  The knife would make a great addition to a WW2 collection.
