Up for bids is an antique telescoping wood and brass measure advertising the Stewart Hartshorn Co, makers of shade rollers in Muskegon, MI. The rule is 2" long and extends out to 4.' It may have been made by the company itself since they specialized in wood products, but it has no maker's name. On one side is the measure portion and on the other it reads "Compliments of Steward Hartshorn Co. Self Acting Shade Rollers Wood & Tin." The company did business into the 1900's. The rule is in very good condition with no cracks, breaks or repairs. It has some wear on the number marks and lettering, but all are still readable. Great piece of Muskegon, MI, history.
