    Ancient, 14th-10th century B.C. North-Western Asiatic - Caspian Sea area, bronze sword finely cast in one piece with a tapering double-edged blade with a median ridge, with a raised penannular panel at the ricasso, flanges to the edges of the integral grip, hollowed on each face to insert a pair of grip-scales. In the period when the sword was used, the handle would have had a bone or wooden insert, but these rarely survive three thousand years of time.
    MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 41 cm (16.14 inches)
    CONDITION: In good condition for an antique combat bronze sword that is over 3000 years old. The surface is covered by its natural green patina and earth encrustation, blade slightly bent.
    Provenance: From an old Canadian collection formed in the 1980s.
