This an item in the collection of the Atchison County Historical Society (Kansas).  It does not meet the criteria of a local historical significance and thus is being offered for sale.
Before we offer an item for sale, we try and determine if it might have a historical purpose in another community and will offer to other museums.  If no home can be found, the item will be sold.
The funds from the sale of such items will be placed into our endowment fund to generate future earnings to help preserve and maintain our remaining collection.
Some of our items were donated to us for this purpose of raising funds to the benefit of the society.
