Up for auction is an awesome looking 1937 "The Thompson Trophy Race" Souvenir Book. Very limited distribution and this book is #32. The book has the beautiful prints as shown, the prints measure about 8 x 12" each. The book is full of info on the planes and the pilots and the race. The "The Thompson Trophy Race" was held for many years, you can Google the race, very interesting reading. The outer book has some wear, the hard covers spine has been taped and has some stains and tears and chipping and not in great shape. The gold "The Thompson Trophy Race" photo is the actual item and it came in the hard back covers and is loose, does not look like it was ever mounted, it has a spiral spine and is great shape for the era. A few that I have seen don't have the hardback covers. The item has some creases, the prints are real nice, looks like some finger prints on some pages and the covers. The cover has some tears, the item has some toning or browning and has a musty smell to it, really solid, it looks fantastic see photos.
